Holy Cross Academy - St. John Paul II

Bulletin for the Week of January 19, 2020

There is no school on Monday, January 20, to celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Enjoy the three-day weekend!

Access to grades on A2Z is limited at this time to allow teachers to work on second quarter

grades. Second quarter report cards will go live on Friday, January 24. If you have questions or concerns about your child's grades, please contact the teacher directly or contact me.

20-21 Preview Night for parents is scheduled on Thursday, January 23, at the Annunciation campus. On this evening, we will be providing four sessions to share information about the

2020-2021 school year. The Preview Night will include sessions on our early childhood program, K-2, 3-5, and School Life/Logistics. This event will run very similar to our back to school nights where everyone gathers in the church first and then can attend the appropriate sessions based on their children's grades for the coming school year. Each session will run four times to give parents the opportunity to attend every session.

We need your help! Thursday of Catholic Schools Week, January 30, is Teacher Appreciation Day. As part of the day, the Holy Cross Parents Association is providing lunch for the teachers, both K-5th and PreK. Since they will be enjoying lunch together, we need parent volunteers who will supervise their students at that time. If you can assist us with this, please use this link to sign-up: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080c45acaf23a2fd0-teacher. Also, please consider joining us for Sports Trivia on Tuesday afternoon at 2:00.

Mass this week is being planned by the 4th graders. Please know that you are always welcome to join us for Mass on Thursday mornings at 8:00.

February lunches are available for pre-ordering until January 24. After you order, please send your lunch money to the office. FYI: During lent, we will only serve cheese pizza on Fridays.
