Dear Holy Cross Families, December 20, 2019

Today was Christmas Trivia Day at the middle school! Each year we take our last morning to have fun and celebrate all we have worked for over the year. The day started with families playing Christmas Kahoots, followed by our final Advent Prayer Service. The rest of the morning, the students play Trivia in the gym. Playing trivia in families assures six, seventh, and eighth grade students on each team, helping make the questions attainable. Thank you to Mr. Ewing for organizing the trivia and Mrs. Wray and Ms. Kern for our Kahoots and the prayer service. All of the teachers prepare the questions; serve as runners and judges, and Brandy Perkins and her crew helped with the refreshments. Christmas Trivia Day is often one of the favorite days of our students and former graduates. Playing trivia has proven to build community within the families.

Gently Used Coats and New Diapers: The mini-vinnies, (SVdP seventh grade students) are conducting a gently used coats and new diaper drive. Please consider donating used coats and heavy sweatshirts to HCA following Christmas. Children’s diapers in all sizes are also welcome.

I know that many of you have questions or concerns regarding the upcoming structure change for Holy Cross Academy. Stay tuned for opportunities to become involved in the process as we move forward and iron out some of the details about the new model. If you have any ideas that you think may be helpful, or if you just have some questions or concerns, please reach out. You can send me an email, or I would be happy to meet with you to discuss your ideas or concerns.

On behalf of the middle school faculty and staff we thank you for your gifts, your children, and your support. We wish you a Blessed Christmas and Happy New Year!

Janet Dolan
