Mrs. Koberlein's Weekly Message-August 22, 2019

Submitted to All Campuses on Friday, August 23, 2019

Dear HCA-OLP Families,

Well, we made it through our first full week of school! I hope your children are coming home full of stories about interesting things they have learned or fun things they have done during the school day.

I enjoyed talking briefly with many of you at the back-to-school night on Tuesday. It was wonderful to see so many parents here. If you missed it or if you have any questions for your child’s teachers, please reach out to them. They would love to answer your questions so that we can all start the school year smoothly without any confusion.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

In God’s Peace,

Mrs. Katie Koberlein

Principal, Our Lady of Providence Campus

Spirit Day Change

Our first spirit day will be in a couple of weeks on Sept. 5. There is a change for spirit day dress guidelines for this year. This year, students may wear regular uniform bottoms or gym uniform bottoms with their HCA spirit shirts. They can wear their choice, regardless of whether or not they have PE that day. Also, please remember students may wear HCA school spirit shirts, not OLP parish/sports spirit shirts.

Health Forms

A friendly reminder - yellow health forms for all students should have been filled out and turned in to the school office. Also, any new students and all students in kindergarten, 3rd grade, and 6th grade need to have a physical and an immunization record turned in. Having this paperwork helps us to be attuned to the medical needs of each student so that we can keep everyone safe and healthy here at school.

Parking Lot Procedures

We are doing a great job of getting back into the routines for dropping off and picking up students. Please remember at K-5 pickup time to wait until the teacher on parking lot duty tells you it is your turn to go before you drive off the lot. We need the cars to stay still until all students have walked safely to their vehicles. Thanks for your cooperation in keeping drop off and pick up time safe for our students!

School Counselor

Returning to our school for this year is our school counselor Erika Freiling, from Saint Louis Counseling (formerly Catholic Family Services). She will be here at the OLP campus on Tuesdays again this year. Click Here to learn more about our school counselor and find out what she does for our students. If you are interested in your child receiving her services, please contact your child’s teacher or the school office and we can send home the necessary paperwork.
