Mrs. Dolan's Weekly Message-February 28, 2020

Submitted to All Campuses on Friday, February 28, 2020

Dear Holy Cross Families,                                                       February 28, 2020

Annunciation Fish Fry Tonight

4:30-7:00 pm

Our Ash Wednesday Mass started the Season of Lent. During Lent, the middle school students will be attending Reconciliation, Adoration, and several Stations of the Cross. We will be having a Faith Formation Day March 9th,  and special activities for Holy Thursday. Each homeroom has prepared an Alleluia banner to display outside their classrooms, which has been rolled up until we return from Easter.

Mision Carnival: Bravo to our Student Council for organizing and running a Mission Carnival to celebrate Mardi Gras. It was impressive to see the students take the initiative to set up as well as take down the event. The sixth through eighth grade students played numerous games and shopped for candy and soda at the snack bar. My job was to sell candy and soda with Mrs. Wray and Mrs. Chehval. I am pleased to say that 85% of our students said, “May I please have”, or “I would like”, and 95% of the students said “thank you”. This is an excellent reflection on what you, the parents, have taught them at home. Everyone had a good time and we raised over twelve hundred dollars for the Missions.
