Mrs. Folk's Weekly Message-February 21, 2020

Submitted to All Campuses on Friday, February 21, 2020

Dear Holy Cross Academy Families,

What an exciting week at the SMA campus!!! On Tuesday, Steve Tempelton from KMOV, channel 4 talked with our 2nd and 3rd graders about the weather, especially hurricanes. The students were celebrities on the news at 4, 6, and 10 too.

On Wednesday, the 1st Grade went to St. Louis University and enjoyed the Billiken Teacher Corps Olympics, lunch, and Lady Billikens Basketball game. I heard they won. Everyone was exhausted, but they had a great time. Thursday, Jackson, Riley, and Ella Guller, were the Principals for the Day at our campus. They helped me with drop off, read to the preschool and another class, we visited all of the classrooms, and had lunch with all of the other “Principal for the Day” at Happy Joe’s Pizza. The Guller Principals also made some big decisions for our campus. Today all of the classrooms are having a movie or Fun Friday afternoon, Monday is a DRESS DOWN DAY, and we are having a dance party/extra gym time on Tuesday.

Our campus seems to be getting a little healthier with the amount of students out sick, but it is only a little better. Keep reminding your children to wash their hands and use hand sanitizer. We are doing this daily as well. Also, just a reminder to please make sure your kids are feeling 100% when they come back to school.

Next week is the beginning of Lent. Ash Wednesday Mass will be celebrated at 8:00am led by 2nd Grade. Please come celebrate with us the beginning of this most Holy season.

Also next week, on Thursday, the 1st and 2nd grade will be attending the Magic School Bus presentation at the Civic Center. The 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade will be visiting Kenrick Seminary with our Seminarian Matt. They will celebrate Mass and each lunch with all of the Seminarians, then take a tour of the building. For all of the field trips, make sure permission slips are sent back to school.

Online registration for the 2020-21 school year is below. Please read.

God Bless!

The donations will be split between the two. Collections will continue until April 7th.
