Mrs. Folk's Weekly Message-February 7, 2020

Submitted to All Campuses on Friday, February 07, 2020

Dear Holy Cross Academy Families,

We always have a busy week at our campus. Mrs. Krobath took the 2nd graders on their field trip to the Sheldon Concert Hall and experienced the sounds and history of Jazz music. I know the children really enjoyed their “snow day” on Wednesday. Many of the girls have been talking about the Father/Daughter HCPA dance this evening. They are so excited to get dressed up! I hope everyone will have a great time dancing the night away.

We are noticing an increase in sickness this last couple of weeks. Please keep your child home if they are not feeling well. We keep passing around the germs and illness to each other. If they have a fever, they should not come back until fever free for 24 hours without medicines. Keep reminding them about hand washing and coughing into their elbows. I just want everyone to feel better.

There are many things to look forward to next week. Grandparents Day for Preschool is on Tuesday morning starting with Mass at 8:00 am then fun activities. The first meeting to get ready for the sacrament of Holy Communion will be Tuesday, February 11th at JP2 at 6:30pm in the cafeteria. . The HCPA meeting will be on Wednesday, February 12th at the SMA campus at 6:30pm to discuss the end of year events the parent organization sponsors. On Thursday, February 13th we will have a red dress down day for the Valentine’s Day parties in the classrooms. The K-5 children can send their Valentines that day to exchange. Make sure your child has enough for their entire class.Parents should check with their preschool teachers regarding their parties and valentines.

On Friday, HCA K-8 will be celebrating the Feast of the Seven Holy Founders with an all Academy Mass and retreat day. Dismissal will be at noon in the Church for all K-8 students.

See details below regarding ASP that day.

Remember Monday, February 17th is Presidents’ Day. HCA has no school in observance of the holiday.

Online registration using the FACTS system for the 2020-21 school year is available through the HCA website www.hca-stl.org.

Have a great weekend!!!

God Bless!

Mrs. Karen Folk
