Mrs. Koberlein's Weekly Message-October 24, 2019

Submitted to All Campuses on Thursday, October 24, 2019

Dear HCA-OLP Families,

Wow, now we have one quarter down and three quarters to go! Please remember that there is no school tomorrow as the teachers begin working on report cards. You can watch for report cards to come out next Friday, November 1. Also, if you haven’t yet registered for a conference with your child’s teacher, please do so now to get a time that works for you.

Have a great weekend, and please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

In God’s Peace,

Mrs. Katie Koberlein

Principal, Our Lady of Providence Campus

26 Things Parents Need to Know About Social Media

St. Simon School will be hosting a speaker on the topic of social media on Nov. 7, and HCA parents are welcome to attend. RSVP is required. Please see this flyer for more information.

Asbestos Update

Last week we did our fall inspection of the building for any asbestos-containing building materials. We do have some asbestos-containing building materials in the school, but the asbestos is contained, and there is no danger to people who us the building. Please see this letter for more information.

Coffee with the Principal

Parents of fourth and fifth graders are invited to join me in the faculty lounge for a quick visit on the morning of Tuesday, October 22, from 7:30 - 8:00 a.m. I hope to see you then!

Book Fair Volunteers Needed

The 2019 Fall Scholastic Book Fair takes place in early November. This book fair provides a great selection of reasonably priced children's books. The fair also raises money for the school that can be used towards books, reading materials, teacher workshops and teaching tools. When we meet our sales goal - and we most often do - we can earn up to 65% of our sales as 'scholastic dollars' for the school!

In order for the book fair to be a success, we need your help to work as a cashier to check out purchases. Please click on the link below and consider if you could offer an hour or two of your time. If you have never worked the fair before and have questions, please email Collette Koscielski @ collette.hermannn@gmail.com. Your help is greatly appreciated!
