Mrs. Koberlein's Weekly Message-October 18, 2019

Submitted to All Campuses on Friday, October 18, 2019

Dear HCA-OLP Families,

It’s hard to believe that the first quarter will be over next week. The school year is flying by! But when I stop to think about it, the students have already shown so much growth since school started. I can’t wait to see how much they learn and grow throughout the rest of the school year, too!

Have a great weekend, and please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

In God’s Peace,

Mrs. Katie Koberlein

Principal, Our Lady of Providence Campus

Coffee with the Principal

Parents of second and third graders are invited to join me in the faculty lounge for a quick visit on the morning of Tuesday, October 22, from 7:30 - 8:00 a.m. I hope to see you then! Fourth and fifth-grade parents will have their turn on October 29.

Book Fair Volunteers Needed

The 2019 Fall Scholastic Book Fair takes place in early November. This book fair provides a great selection of reasonably priced children's books. The fair also raises money for the school that can be used towards books, reading materials, teacher workshops and teaching tools. When we meet our sales goal - and we most often do - we can earn up to 65% of our sales as 'scholastic dollars' for the school!

In order for the book fair to be a success, we need your help to work as a cashier to check out purchases. Please click on the link below and consider if you could offer an hour or two of your time. If you have never worked the fair before and have questions, please email Collette Koscielski @ collette.hermannn@gmail.com. Your help is greatly appreciated!

Food Drive

HCA is having a food drive for the rest of this month. The food collected at OLP campus will go to the Affton Christian Food Pantry. The class who collects the most food items per person will win the coveted golden can!

Parent Teacher Conferences

HCA Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on Thursday, November 7. Appointments will be scheduled for the preschool and elementary campuses between 8:00am and 7:00pm and at the middle school campus between 8:00am and 12:00pm. Middle-school teachers are also available for walk-in conferences the evening of Wednesday, November 6 from 4:00-7:00pm in the Annunciation gymnasium.

We are using PTCFast.com to make Parent Teacher Conference sign ups as convenient as possible this year. Please enter the following web address into your browser window: https://ptcfast.com/schools/Holy_Cross_Academy_1 As a reminder, there is no school on Thursday, Nov. 7 and Friday, Nov. 8
