Mrs. Koberlein's Weekly Message-September 27, 2019

Submitted to All Campuses on Friday, September 27, 2019

Dear HCA-OLP Families,

We had another fantastic week at Holy Cross Academy. It is so wonderful to see students working cooperatively with each other and helping each other in so many ways in class, at recess, and in the cafeteria. I see our faith theme for the year in their actions. We really are Many Parts in One Body.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. I hope you have an enjoyable weekend with your families!

In God’s Peace,

Mrs. Katie Koberlein

Principal, Our Lady of Providence Campus

Providence Fest

Our Lady of Providence Parish will be celebrating Providence Fest on October 11 & 12. Please come out for a fun time for the whole family! For more information, go to http://www.providencefest.com/.

Additional Vision Screening

On October 8, we will have a free vision screening for OLP 2nd and 4th graders. This screening checks for things beyond the need for glasses, like ability to maintain focus on a point and ability to track across a line of text. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns about your child participating in this screening.

Safe Touch Program

The Safe Touch program will be instructed the week of September 30 to all students in K-5. Safe touch is an Archdiocesan developed school-based curriculum for grades K-5. This program contains practical, helpful information to help children protect themselves from dangers that exist today. The objective of this curriculum is to teach our children self-protection skills. The Safe Touch curriculum approaches safety issues in a respectful manner, connecting our Catholic values with information to keep our children safe. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have questions or concerns regarding this important piece of your child’s education. Click here for more information about the Safe Touch Program.

Picture Day

Picture day will be this Tuesday, October 2. On this day, students may dress out of uniform. This will be the photo that will be used in the school yearbook, and parents may also purchase pictures. Information about ordering pictures came home last week in the Friday folders.
