Mrs. Folk's Weekly Message-September 27, 2019

Submitted to All Campuses on Friday, September 27, 2019

Dear Holy Cross Academy Families,

I hope everyone had a great week. The students are happy to be back to a normal schedule.

Safe touch classes are completed. The students participated and asked amazing questions. It was fun to be in the classroom with them.

Please be aware and cautious of pedestrians and bike riders on or around the school grounds. There is an increase in the number of students walking to and from school and riding their bikes. Drivers please be aware, especially on Murdoch Ave and St. Michael Ave, students who are walkers and bike riders . We want all of our students safe in our area.

We will be celebrating the Feast of the Guardian Angels on Tuesday October 1st. We will begin our day with a community Mass at 8:00am and fun activities in the classrooms following Mass. I know it will be a fun day for our students learning more about the Guardian Angels and St. Michael. We hope you can join us at Mass.

Wednesday is Picture Day. Students may be out of uniform for pictures. It is a “dress up” day. If you didn’t order your pictures online please remember to send back the picture envelope with you child.

Thursday is a Spirit Day too.

Please see info below regarding the Pet Blessing next Friday, October 4th

I feel blessed to be part of this community. Have a great weekend.

God Bless!

Library

We now have some wonderful SMA moms volunteers: Karen Rossfeld, Kenda Bacott, Annie Cavedine, Elizabeth Zipfel, and Maggie Rose, who will be helping students check out books, reading stories to them in the school library, and special library activities on Thursdays. If any others would like to volunteer, please let me know. Their first day will be October 10th. Thank you so much for helping our children!!!

TUTORING

An SMA mom is offering tutoring services to help students in the Academy. If you are interested in services, please call the office if interested.

GYM UNIFORMS

Students of all elementary grades will not need to bring a regular uniform to change into

on gym days. They will now be allowed to wear their gym uniforms all day long. This will

help them make more productive use of their time during the school day.
