Mrs. Koberlein's Weekly Message-May 3, 2019

Submitted to All Campuses on Friday, May 03, 2019

Dear Holy Cross Families,

It is certainly a busy time as we finish off the school year. Thank you for all of your support at home as you pack lunches, help with homework and studying, get the kids to school in their uniforms and on time, and more! Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or if there is any way I may be of help!

In God’s Peace,

Mrs. Katie Koberlein

Principal, Our Lady of Providence Campus

Grandparents Day/May Crowning Mass

Wednesday, May 8 is Grandparents Day and May Crowning for K-5 students at the OLP campus. Please invite grandparents or special friends to join their grandkids at 8:00 mass. Grandparents are also invited to join us for refreshments after mass.

Yearbook Online Orders Due TODAY

Today is the last day to place a yearbook order. Go to https://book.hrimaging.com/book/default.aspx to place your order.

Field Day

Friday, May 10 is field day. Elementary students from all 3 campuses will be here at OLP on that day, so the parking lot procedures will be different. Please watch for detailed information about drop off and pick up. That day will also be a half day. In the event of rain, the field day will be canceled, and elementary students will attend their regular campuses for a half day of school. (They may still wear their field day attire.) If rain cancels our field day, middle school students will not attend school that day due to the preparation for the Annunciation parish picnic.

Allergy Season

Parents, spring allergy season has hit the St. Louis area hard this year, including OLP campus. We are beginning to run out of tissues. If you have a spare box you could send in with your child, we would much appreciate it!

Totus Tuus

Students entering grades one through 12 are invited to take part in the Totus Tuus program the week of July 8. Grades 1-6 will come 9:00-3:00 for a $40 fee, and the program for grades 7-12 is in the evening and is free. Information about the Totus Tuus program can be found at sss.stlyouth.org/totustuus, and flyers and registration forms will come home in next week’s Friday folders.

STREAM Showcase

We hope you can join us for our STREAM Showcase, at the Annunciation Campus on May 7, 6:30-8:00 p.m. Many of the exciting STREAM activities done by students from kindergarten to eighth grade will be on display. Bring the kids to enjoy the interactive displays, and invite the grandparents so you can show off some of what your children have been working on. You can also check out the Annunciation campus STREAM lab and garden. We hope to see you there!

OLP Garden

When you get a chance, come check out the OLP garden. The students are beginning to plant seeds and seedlings in our new garden space. Much thanks to Gateway Greening and to our garden committee for making this garden possible!

Blood Drive

There will be a blood drive on Saturday, May 11 in support of Jack Perlongo and Alex Winterer, both former students at OLP who are in treatment for cancer. You can register at www.bloodcenter.IMPACT.org using sponsor code 10937. Please give if you can.
