Mrs. Folk's Weekly Message-April 12, 2019

Submitted to All Campuses on Friday, April 12, 2019

Dear Holy Cross Academy Families,

Lent is almost over. Let us reflect on how we are closer to Jesus through these past forty days. Holy week begins next week. There are many opportunities to celebrate the Mass in different ways next week. Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and the Easter Vigil are all special Masses that would be a great way to be closer to our Lord and family.

On Monday the first grade led us in the Stations of the Cross at 2:15pm. They did such a wonderful job presenting. On Tuesday, April 16th, the 5th Grade will perform a special Mime Stations of the Cross after the 8:00 am Mass. Please come and join us to celebrate both as a school community.

This week the Quest students showed off their science fair projects to their parents and the rest of their classmates. They really did a great job showing what they each learned from their experiments. Thanks to Mrs. Michelle Pelizzaro and Mrs. Kate Simino for helping with the projects.

Today was a busy day at SMA. The 1st graders went on their field trip to the Arch grounds and the 4th graders planted the community garden. It was a little chilly outside but they all had a great time.

Today we also have three new chicks that hatched in 4th grade overnight. Caterpillars have arrived in the preschool, hopefully soon we will have beautiful butterflies.

It isn’t too late to turn in your “Change for Change” bags. The last time to return the bags is on Monday. Thank you to all of the families who participated in our Lenten project.

I hope everyone has a good weekend.

God Bless,

Mrs. Karen Folk

Principal, St. Michael the Archangel Campus
