Mrs. Koberlein's Weekly Message-April 5, 2019

Submitted to All Campuses on Friday, April 05, 2019

Dear Holy Cross Families,

Two exciting things are happening this afternoon - the Cardinals home opener and the opening of HCA third quarter report cards for parent viewing. I’m sure as good St. Louisans, you’re more excited about the Cardinals, but please remember to also check the score on your child’s school progress, too. If you have any questions or concerns about your child’s report card, please be sure to reach out to the teacher.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or if there is any way I may be of help!

In God’s Peace,

Mrs. Katie Koberlein

Principal, Our Lady of Providence Campus

Successful Intruder Drill

Earlier this week, we had an intruder drill that was observed by our DARE officer, Dion Olson. The students did a great job, and we are also grateful to the Crestwood Police Department for all of their support throughout the school year.

Spring Book Fair

The spring book fair at OLP will be April 7-10. The book fair will be open after 8:30 and 11:00 masses on Sunday, April 7 and before school, during lunch, and after school on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 9-10. New at this book fair is the option to set up a free e-wallet account so that your child can shop up to a spending limit that you choose, and you can pay electronically. There is also an online shop, available March 31-April 13. Go to HCA-OLP Book Fair for more information, to volunteer, to shop online, or to set up an e-wallet for your child. Shopping at the book fair helps encourage your child’s love for reading and supports our school at the same time!

May Lunch Orders

Ordering for May lunches is open online. Orders are due by April 18. Order now so you don’t forget! Please remember when ordering that a milk is included with a lunch order.

Third Quarter Report Cards

Report cards will be available for parent viewing online today, Friday, April 5, at 3:30pm.

Change for Change Collection

During Lent, STUCO is sponsoring a Change for Change campaign. Students are encouraged to collect change throughout the Lenten season. Money collected will be donated to the children of Melissa's Hope Orphanage in Haiti and to help support the missionary work of the Sisters of Notre Dame. Brown paper bags to collect the donated change are coming home with your child today. Please return them to the school office by April 12. For more information on Melissa's Hope, please go to melissashope.org There are pictures and videos of the children and families in Haiti supported by the orphanage.

Fish Fry

Please come to the Our Lady of Providence Fish Fry. The OLP Men’s Club runs this fish fry every Friday in Lent except for Good Friday. My family came last week, and everything we tried was excellent! The Men’s Club does a lot to help our school, and this is their main fundraiser. Come get some delicious fish (or frog legs!) while supporting our parish and school!
