Congratulations to sixth grade; Sophia S., Lucy B., Maggie K., seventh grade; Maggie B., and eighth grade Sophia W., Rachel S., and Darcy N. Thank you to Ms. Bourne and all of the other coaches for preparing our students and to Mrs. McDaniel for accompanying them to the meet.

Fifth Grade Shadowing: Tuesday the students in fifth grade from OLP shadowed with the sixth grade students at the middle school. Shadowing on Tuesdays allows all of the present fifth grade students the opportunity to attend Mass and Family Time, visit all of the core classes, take P.E. and get to know some of the present 6th grade students. This coming Tuesday we will host the girls from JP2 and the following week the JP2 boys. SMA students will shadow on Tuesday, February 26.

MATHCOUNTS: Mathcounts is a nationwide middle school mathematics competition, held in various places in the United States. Its founding sponsors include the CNA Foundation, the National Society of Professional Engineers, and the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics. Holy Cross is entering the competition this Saturday for the first time on the UMSL campus. Ms. Tavernaro and the team of Brie B., Madhaven A., Matthew W. and Izzy M. have been preparing after school. We wish them well and appreciate their efforts representing our HCA middle school.

Principal’s Coffee: Wednesday, February 13 7:30 am is a coffee for all middle school parents. I hope you can join me to share your thoughts about how the year is going.

Seven Holy Founders All Academy Mass: Friday, February 15th we will celebrate on the SHF Campus with Mass beginning at 9:00. Please join us for Mass. It is awesome to see over 500 students celebrating Mass together. Middle school students should be dropped off at SHF between 7:00-&:50 and they will be bused back to the ANN campus. Parents should pick up their students as usual at 2:40 at ANN. You should have received an email outlining the day.

Today and Tomorrow Scholarships: All families are invited to apply online for scholarships from the Today and Tomorrow Educational Foundation. There are scholarships available for low and middle income families. The application period began January 28 at 8:00am, and some scholarships are first come, first served, so please apply right away! Go to ttef-stl.org to apply. Families who have already applied previously should reuse the same login information. The deadline for families renewing a scholarship is February 28.
