Mrs. Folk's Weekly Message-February 1, 2019

Submitted to All Campuses on Friday, February 01, 2019

Dear Holy Cross Academy Families,

The students and staff enjoyed a great fun filled Catholic Schools Week! We had fun, community, and faith formation. We truly celebrated being part of HCA. HCA is so blessed to have parents who have made a commitment to Catholic education. The students learned how blessed we all are through their donations to St. Vincent de Paul Society and investigating around their houses loads of laundry, eating out, electronic devices, and counting beds. The STUCO reps presented a “Teacher Survival Surprise” to the teachers/staff to kick off CSW. Thank you to everyone for their donations. The teachers/staff were so surprised and they have been enjoying all of the goodies during CSW week.

Due to the snow day, we will reschedule the Living Museum that will be presented by the 5th grade. I will let you know the date.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the Open House a success this past Sunday. We had some great traffic and many compliments about our campus. Please remember to send in your registration for the upcoming 2019-2020 school year. Early registration fee is $75.00 until March 1st. Just a reminder that registration opens to new potential students on February 15th.

Just a friendly reminder that we close down the parking lot for dismissal at 3:00 pm each day for students and parents to walk on lot safely. In the office, we have received some calls from neighbors concerned with parents not stopping at stop signs leaving the parking lot and parking on their street instead of going onto SMA lot. If you are arriving after the cones are up, please park on Sutherland and walk up to the barricade to pick up your children. You can also call the office before 2:55 pm to let school know if you are running a few minutes behind so we can make arrangements for pick up. We are here to help and understand when life’s unexpected hiccups happen.

God Bless,

Mrs. Karen Folk
